If you’re reading this, chances are you’re interested in some JVZoo top-selling products to increase your affiliate earnings and there’s a good reason to do so. At 25-100% commission sharing, who doesn’t? But does that mean every program is worth joining? Hold that thought for a second because you’re about to learn that not all products are created equal and there are several things you should know/do before promoting them.
What Are JVZoo Top Sellers
JVZoo is basically an online marketplace designed for selling and promoting digital products such as applications, online tools, membership sites, and downloadable files in all kinds of niches. Creating an account is pretty straightforward and just so you know, sellers and affiliates share the same login.
There are a few ways to go about searching for top sellers on JVZoo. At the user dashboard, look for the Launch List under the Product tab. This page will display recent launches on JVZoo for the past 30 days and their latest sales volume to-date. Scroll down the list to look for high sales numbers that catch your attention.
The other method is to search for Top Sellers and this link can also be found under the Product tab. On this page, sellers are ranked based on their sales performance at a certain time frame and by clicking the affiliate details, you can learn more about the vendors.
See this profile with all the high ratings, high sales volume, and low refund rate? This is a good example of a top seller on JVZoo. Also, vendors who have been around for a long time usually have more than one product and you should be able to find those links under their profile too.
JVZoo Affiliate Marketing
All this information offers a good headstart but because there are so many digital products in the market, it’s important to research before diving into the promotion part. Here are some important questions to ask and finding out the answers should point you in the right direction.
(1) Can You Find Your Niche in JVZoo?
Even though the marketplace is said to cater to a variety of profitable niches, in actual fact, only a few are popular. Niches like software, self-improvement, publishing/writing, mobile smartphone, health/fitness, and gambling systems have the most digital product offers.
The rest like education, travel, food, and parenting have almost nothing listed. In certain situations, you might be able to cross-promote products. For example, a marketer in the education niche can promote animated whiteboard software to educators as a tool for teaching.
However, if you can’t find any connection with these niches, then using JVZoo is going to serve very little purpose.
(2) What’s Your Solution For The Audience?
There are some good products on JVZoo – audio files, designing software, virtual tool systems – all of which are creative, practical, and convenient solutions for users. If you’ve tried them and like the results, then there’s likely value in promoting and bringing positive impacts to people’s work/life.
But being a public digital marketplace as it is, there are also a ton of crappy products. It’s not uncommon to see short-cut solutions like done-for-you sites, traffic hijacking and autopilot systems being listed. I didn’t make those up; vendors literally use such phrases on their sales page.
Sadly to say, these offers run rampant especially in the internet marketing/make money online niche. They are considered black hat marketing (some called it grey) techniques and no-matter how tempting it sounds, such products are usually short-lived. They might sell very well for the first couple of months and then, poof, you’d lose access to support or whatever stuff they promise in the beginning.
Just like bad apples, black hat marketing isn’t going to go away anytime soon, but the question is, is this the kind of solution you want to offer your audience? Do you think it’s helpful or harmful? Only you can answer this question because you should know your niche better than anyone else.
(3) Do You Have an Email List?
Most offers on JVZoo have their own sales funnel system which means one product is usually tied to several other product offers. For example, this particular software is part of a 5 product funnel system. You can find such data on the respective affiliate information page.
As an affiliate marketer, you’re expected to funnel traffic to the system, using approved product links, to earn your due commissions. You can’t just send a customer directly to a checkout page – it will not work.
One of the fastest ways to funnel is through email marketing using swipe (copywriting) files – sometimes the vendor will provide this but that’s not always necessarily the case. Now you can collect emails organically through a site, but if you’re looking to blast out promotion in a short time frame, you might be tempted to use solo ads instead – aka buying other people’s email list and promoting as your own.
Solo ads cost money and the success of sales conversion very much depends on the quality of the lists, the popularity of the niche, the level of product/customer trust – just to name a few. In most cases, it’s going to take a lot of convincing because upselling/down selling tactics are notorious for annoying prospects more than closing sales.
Having an email list shows vendors you’re a serious partner and it will increase the affiliate approval rate as well. If you’re planning to promote through this route, make sure to get an email list first.
(4) What About Cookies and Payout Rates?
Digital products as we know it, pay big and sometimes recurring commissions which is nice. In terms of tracking, JVZoo cookies last a lifetime which means, when a customer buys through your link for the first product, you also earn commissions for other purchases (same vendor) until a new link is clicked.
In terms of payout, however, do expect delays in commission which could span anywhere between 60 to 90 days. This is mostly the case with new affiliates who haven’t yet achieved high volumes of sales and also to give space for processing refunds if there’s any.
Once you’ve established a good relationship with the vendors, you do get paid at a faster rate (sometimes instant) but you need to earn their trust for that.
(5) How To Receive Commissions?
JVZoo offers affiliates 3 cash out methods and each has its pros and cons.
- Physical check – Physical address creates trust but mailing is going to take time.
- JVZoo Pay – Puts money into your JVZoo account but needs to connect to another payment system (Payoneer) in order to cash out.
- PayPal – One of the most trusted and universal processors in the market. Allows instant cashout via credit card. However, some countries may not have access to this system and they do sometimes impose restrictions on withdrawals. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this because once you have an account, there’re many more ways to earn via PayPal online.
(6) What About Using a Website?
When a conversion tends to focus on targeted and quick sales, email marketing and ads are often the top choices. That’s why Jvzoo as a digital marketplace favors this form of marketing. You can too as long as you’re willing to pay but is it wise to put all eggs into one basket?
Maybe not.
That’s why we advocate creating a niche website to promote through product reviews. There are two advantages to gain from here. First, content can rank on search engines and attract organic traffic for free. Second, you can collect and build your own emails without having to buy from someone else.
Long term wise, this adds to your marketing credibility. Visitors are going to see you as knowledgeable and trustworthy instead of pushy and salesy. And I’m guessing more people will buy from the former than the latter. The only drawback is that organic traffic takes time to build and a lot of writing is usually required.
Nevertheless, if you’re marketing anything online, it’s always good to build a strong foundation for your business through a website. WordPress is my go-to platform because it’s versatile and practical. Here’s a tool you can use to create one for free.
What’s Next?
Say you’ve got everything in order – a great offer, content, email, and considerable good traffic too – but not many sales conversions are happening. What should you do next? Well, a few possibilities could explain these. You’re not using the right keywords, there may be some broken links or for whatever reasons, your niche just isn’t interested in buying digital products.
If that’s the case, it’s time to work on some changes. Growing an affiliate business alone is never easy and sometimes, we do better when sharing ideas and strategies with others, as what this comprehensive online training has done for so many marketers out there.

I belong to JVZoo but finding a good product that I feel comfortable promoting isn’t always easy. It’s good to see a more in-depth article on the website to give a better idea of how it all works, so your post is pretty helpful. I am impressed though that the cookies last so long; that has to be a bonus.
Now I just need to find some products I am happy to promote.

Hi Linda. Finding a viable product on JVZoo can be tricky. What type of niche are you involved with?
Marsha Pearson says
Indeed, there is a lot of crap in JVZoo’s marketplace. It can be a bit tricky finding something that will give real value to the purchasers without promising something that just does not deliver. I’ve had my fair share of experience. Using a website as a marketing tool is crucial even if you’re planning to just promote digital products.
