Automation is a nice thing to have because it makes life easier. When it comes to ranking on Google, however, I have my reservation. Those who can’t tolerate the time-consuming process will most likely opt for solutions like SENUKE. But, does it actually work for SEO? Well, it might temporarily before all your effort is wasted. Here’s why.
SEnuke At a Glance
SEnuke is SEO software, installed on your computer, that can accelerate your position on Google by enhancing certain ranking metrics on the site. Also known as SEnuke TNG, it’s basically a link building tool plus a content generator that claims to help you dominate the search engines in the shortest amount of time.
The software is marketed through JVZoo, an affiliate network and that means, you’ve probably seen someone promoting this product (as an affiliate) before landing on my review.
This controversial program comes with two sets of prices – $97 for single license use (Pro) and $147 for three licenses (Enterprise) – with upsells and downsells in between. If you are willing to share your email, you can get a $20 discount off the Pro subscription for every month. The free trial link isn’t readily visible, but if you stay on the official sales page long enough to exit, you should be able to see the pop-up offer.
If you haven’t tried automated SEO before, this is a good opportunity to have a peek on what’s inside and how the mechanism works. This isn’t to encourage you to apply for the program, instead why you should avoid using it altogether once you know what kind of harm it could do to your website.
Before getting into the details, you should know by now that search engines, primarily Google, have a set of guidelines called an algorithm that regulates what gets shown on the search results. The main objective of constructing these guidelines is to provide valuable and relevant content to the users at all times.
Two algorithms are extremely important in what we’ll be talking about in this review. The first is Google Panda, released in February 2011 with the aim to eliminate the following problems;
- Low quality and thin content – Pages that lack research and in-depth information.
- Duplicate content – Pages that bear resemblance in terms of content with other sites with very few variations.
- Content Farming – Aggregation of low-quality content gathered from other sites or short articles produced by cheap writers.
The second one called Google Penguin is released in April 2012 to address two main issues;
- Link schemes – The acquisition of backlinks from low-quality websites in an attempt to increase online popularity.
- Keyword stuffing – Repetitive usage of relevant keywords in a specific phrase or text
With these checkpoints in sight, now let’s see what type of fraudulent tactics SEnuke is trying to make you do with the aid of their software.
1 – Captcha Solver
I am pretty sure you’ve seen a Captcha before on some sites that require a specific action to be carried out. It’s basically a short test that verifies human vs non-human users, based on the theory that non-humans, such as bots, are most likely to fail the test, hence eliminating fake users.
In reality, this form of ‘security’ can be breached through a technique called ‘Brute Force’ and one of SEnuke features actually allows you to do just that. Here’s what it says in the user guide;
In the settings, it lets you set the number of attempts you want the Captcha solver to perform and even have a backup service to carry out the job when the primary one fails. Once you are able to break through, you can post numerous comments with links pointing back to your site, theoretically to boost your rankings. In doing so, guess what? You officially violated Google Penguin rule number #1 (see above).
2 – Proxy
A Proxy server is basically an intermediate computer between your home’s and the rest of the internet. By connecting through proxies, your home IP address is hidden and therefore, you could perform search queries, comment on blogs and forums, anonymously.
There are thousands of proxies for access within your SEnuke subscriptions, allowing backlinks to be created more rapidly.
Again, the sum of this action will not agree with the Penguin rule.
3 – Auto-Generated Content
In order to be visible on the internet nowadays, a site needs to have a substantial amount of content for Google to pick up the keywords it intends to rank for. Without that, it’s almost impossible to compete with more established sites or even to get traffic from the internet.
When writing isn’t our strongest forte, unfortunately, producing content on a consistent basis can be a challenging task. Most webmasters would outsource the job to professionals and those who don’t wish to pay for such services may opt for a thing called auto-generated content.
Inside SEnuke, you can literally scrape for articles on a particular topic from the web and then, recreate the content using spinning programs like WordAi. In fact, you can even spin up to 50 articles a day, publish them on your site, in the hope to escalate traffic.
Imagine the cost you could save and completing a task within minutes, which would have otherwise required a week’s time or more. Tempting, right?
But before you get all excited, let me ask this – have you ever read a spun content before? I have and they DON’T read anything like humans. Even if they do, the application of words is awkward and unnatural and that’s expected because the content doesn’t come out of the mind of a human. It was copied and reprogrammed to satisfy the volume for publishing, instead of prioritizing the reader’s interests or concerns.
Besides the fact that you’ve just violated ALL the rules within Google Panda using such a feature, you’ve also chosen to deceive the readers by offering auto-generated content that serves very little values. In other words, you are simply dishing out crap that is likely to be uninteresting, disengaging or in the worst-case scenario, resulting in the visitors to click away from your link.
Will this have any positive impact on your SEO? Of course not.
4 – Crowd Search
Getting a lot of clicks on a link and spending time on that page is another factor that could potentially boost SERPs rankings because it gives Google the impression that your site is popular for a particular keyword. In real life, people who visit interesting sites are more likely to stay on the page longer or navigate to other links through that page.
Crowd searching is a tactic within SEnuke that mimics such actions through the use of programming instead of engaging with actual humans.
It’s almost the same as buying traffic except that, this fake traffic will only produce a certain number of ‘spikes’ within a day before the clicking patterns stopped. Consequently, the bounce rate will increase and causes loss of rankings in the long term. You can’t expect computers to be reading your page as intent as a human, can you?
So, Is SEnuke Worth Your Time?
Unless you are looking for spikes of traffic that don’t last or trying to sabotage your site, using software like SEnuke to manipulate rankings can be unrewarding and even dangerous. Google ain’t no puppet. When they find out about the unnatural inflated backlinks, the bulk of low-quality content and all the fake clicks, it’s just a matter of time before penalization takes place.
From there on, it’s almost impossible to revive your site and you may as well start all over again. The point is, all this automation of links, content, and clicks are black hat techniques that are frowned upon by the search engines because they are fake, unethical and deceptive for online marketing. It produces no long term positive effects and that’s why Panda and Penguin were created to keep things in check on the internet, otherwise, we’ll end having a lot of scammers and anonymous users.
At the end of the day, SEO is best achieved through natural links, natural content and the engagement of real humans. Yes, it takes time and painful effort, but for the sake of long term traffic acquisition and profit-making, it’s worthwhile than investing in automatic software. You can never go wrong with the organic method and getting all the fundamentals right for the growth of your site will ensure its longevity on the internet, no matter how many times Google updates its algorithms.

This is extremely beneficial to know.
Reading this review taught me a ton of new things I was not even aware of that was out there. The scary thing is that you mentioned some ideas that I have wondered about doing myself but have not pulled the trigger on yet. My decision is now made up to leave it all alone.
Quick and easy solutions prove not to be the best decision to go with. Thanks for the heads up on this and other similar programs.

In my opinion, noway someone should be using SENuke. Under no circumstances should someone use spun articles. Like you said, most spun content is garbage and can easily be spotted. Not only that, but people actually struggle to comprehend what spun content is saying. And the crowd search feature seems shady too.

Thank you for providing this interesting review of SEnuke. It is very disappointing to me that JVZoo would allow this to be promoted. This software appears to be violating many of Googles Algorithms and that will kill a website eventually.
I would personally never use an application like SEnuke. I don’t want to have to start over on my niche site. In my opinion, SEO is not that hard if you have the right training and work hard to implement it properly.

Going through this review on SEnuke, it is obvious one can achieve a lot through it, in terms of traffic and other things. However, just the same way you advised, the effect is not long lasting. By the time search engines like Google and Yahoo detect what is going on, it would be difficult for such site to rank again. The ideal path is through organic ranking by creating articles that are valuable and relevant to the user’s search.

I know of a friend who was using something similar to this. At first he was doing well and also making good money, but later ended up with so much problems. This software has almost the same characteristics with what my friend was using. Educating oneself with good SEO technique is important because it can either make or break your site.

It’s always good to find out what program or software can help you enhance your business and which one doesn’t. I just started a blog and wish things could be better with traffic, but I rather do it like you said, the proper way instead of using software that cuts corner, but ultimately can harm your business. Thanks for the heads up.

I totally agree with you that automation is a good thing if it doesn’t hurt your ranking or websites. Search engines are constantly changing their algorithms, so what works today might not work tomorrow. Personally, I am not a big fan of shortcuts and loopholes. You can only get away with them for that long.
Sooner or later, they come back and haunt you. I have been tempted to buy SEnuke before, but felt I really need to understand this whole thing so as not to invest on something of little value. Other than for SEO purposes, the other reason I wanted to buy SEnuke is to allow me spin articles and come up with many articles within a short time frame.
There’s danger to this obviously because it violates the Googles rule on auto-generated contents. Plus the final results aren’t likely going to make sense to a human reader. I don’t think SEnuke is worth using.

Wow, the search engines sure are savvy, aren’t they? Those little “bots” can tell when things are authentic and real, or when people are trying to manipulate. I would think in this day and age, people would be smarter than to use a program that manipulates – it just never works if you study closely how the search engine actually works.
It’s very clear from this review that the techniques will do more harm to a website than good to a, so I hope new marketers will take heed of your advice and not to resort to using harmful shortcuts.

For me, SEnuke works to some certain extent but what I don’t like about it is the fact that the software can’t really save or export a specific project or group of projects to another computer. Sure, you can copy and send information to another computer, but it has to be the entire database.which is a big disadvantage in my own point of view.

There are so many programs out there promising the creation of content with little to no input from the site owner. For bloggers, this may sound appealing as it frees up additional time to pursue other things, but it is my strong opinion that there is no substitute for good quality content and that takes time.
I believe that if you invest the hours in creating the content, the rewards will be there. Most are looking to speed the process, but staying away from these types of products will save you a lot of heartache when the SEO penalizes you for cheating the system.
