To all moms (and dads) who love shopping online for your newborn, affiliate marketing is a good way to make some extra money (or earn freebies) to cover the ever-growing expenses of your lil’ one. You won’t believe how many innovative creations exist nowadays in this popular niche market.
If you like to blog, make videos or share on social, these 11 baby product affiliate programs will surely get you excited.
#1 – Amazon
Amazon makes it to the top of the list here, not just because it’s a popular marketplace, but also because it’s home to 200,000 baby products from a variety of brands like Aveeno and Burt’s Bees.
The huge selection and extensive customer ratings are great features for shoppers as well as for writing product reviews. And since most items are qualified for Amazon Prime, parents can enjoy free shipping while they purchase other items.
The Amazon associate program pays 4.5% in commission for online sales in this category and 3% for baby registry but we’re looking at a very short cookie duration of just 24 hours. Such limitations may not favor higher-priced items which could take a longer decision-making time. And if you can’t convert any sales within 180 days, your account will likely be suspended.
To help overcome these challenges, head over to my Amazon affiliate marketing strategies to learn more about maximizing your commission revenue.
#2 – Buy Buy Baby
Established in 1996, Buy Buy Baby is a US-based retail and online store that offers many reputable brands. With an inventory size of 50K, it’s a far cry from Amazon. Yet the company still thrives in this niche, thanks to the smooth online shopping experience, good quality product offers and expertise in creating baby registries.
There are two ways to go about promoting this store. The first method is to join the Buy Buy Baby affiliate program through CJ Affiliate network and earn 1% commission on gift cards, 3% on qualified orders and $6 for new baby registry within one day referral period.
The second method is to sign up as a brand ambassador and promote through your favorite social channels. When posting photos or videos of your young ones using their products, you stand a chance of making 5% in referral commissions. This avenue is great for social media aficionado.
#3 – Etsy
Etsy is mostly regarded as a craft and art marketplace, but do you know it also sells interesting products for babies? Over here, you can actually get in touch with makers from all over the world and request personalized newborn outfits, toddler bed houses, and even wooden play gyms.
This uniqueness of these items is usually treasured as a keepsake even after the baby is all grown up so buying from Etsy certainly offers more sentimental values compared to other commercial stores, in exception to Amazon Handmade of course.
The Etsy affiliate program is available through the AWIN network and you can sign up according to the country of interest. The commission rate for standard publishers ranges between 4% to 5% while user-generated content such as images and videos pays slightly lower at 2%. The program comes with a 30 days cookie period and offers more than 100,000 product links for marketing purposes.

Hey, nice article you have there! Signing up with Grovia as an affiliate marketer has been my greatest decision. Diapers are a much viable product and theirs are highly demanded by every household with babies, thereby making it very easy to promote online. The commission offered is also awesome.

That’s good to know Edah. At 10% per sale, they are definitely offering more than the current Amazon’s rate.

I’d say that unfortunately, Amazon is not what it used to be in terms of commissions. It used to be good even with 24h cookies but it’s not anymore. Nice to get to know these options, truly good ideas to start a business in the toddler’s niche. Very specific niche among a bunch of options, awesome to find info displayed this way.

Yup, I see that they have reduced the commission in the baby category from 4.5% to 3.0% since April 21st. Guess it’s time to move onto other retailers.

I’m searching for some affiliate programs that suit my personal interest and this article really interests me. I never knew that the baby industry has got all these brands that do affiliate marketing. Will definitely be applying for one or 2 of these and see how it turns out for my mommy blog.

That’s great JJ! 🙂

Clearly, the Amazon associate program pays a nice commission for mums who want and have the zeal to work extra in fattening pockets. As any mum knows, there is never enough cash to go around for the family so any opportunity to make extra cash with baby products they are already familiar with should be embraced and put into good use.

Your post is chuck full of information. It gives affiliate marketers an abundance of products to draw from. Parents are so busy taking care of their new little bundles that it only makes sense to be able to use the stores online to purchase what you need. It also gives you suggestions of what is available that you did not know about.

I tell you what. This is the niche to get into. It is recession-proof and babies are not going anywhere. I have always told myself that I want to get into a gardening website and also a baby website once I am making enough money off of my first site. I have bookmarked this post and will definitely visit it back in the future once I am ready to tackle this niche. Thank you for the post.
Cathy says
No problem Eric. Glad you benefited from this 🙂

Clearly there are affiliate marketing opportunities for just about any niche. I did not know they had these types of programs available for parents too. I was aware of Amazon, but I did not know of the other websites and did not know that Etsy too, had an affiliate program. This opportunity is lovely for mothers who stay at home or nursing, to be able to earn some commission while attending to their babies.
