Underground Millionaire Mastermind (UMM) is an exclusive group created by Dean Graziosi who’s a well known real estate investor and frequently coach others within the industry. He’s also a podcaster, YouTuber and author of ‘Millionaire Success Habits’ which is the book that leads me to discover the program in the first place.
The main purpose of the program, like most mastermind groups, is to gather people of the same interest to work together in accelerating the process of wealth creation as well as achieving an ideal lifestyle. Technically, it’s like a support plus training type of community that caters for everything from motivational topics, latest techniques to marketing strategies.
On the promo page, Dean clearly states that the membership is meant for;
- Existing millionaires who want to achieve more wealth and,
- ‘Future millionaires’ who want to build a successful career and lifestyle (that’s almost the equivalent of everyone else, I guess)
As a member, you have got the privilege to access some of the following features and perks;
- Training and tools that can lead to more financial success.
- Guided training to scale pre-existing business to the next level.
- Networking through private online groups.
- Web class training conducted personally by Dean himself.
- Entrepreneur interview with Arianna Huffington and Tony Robbins.
- And do you want to win a Tesla? They have that too.
Sounds like there’s a lot of good stuff lining up, uh? Well, on the surface, that does seem to be the case. UMM has a lot of ads on YouTube nowadays and their offers are simply irresistible.

What Makes UMM Sell?
The last time I was offered to join a mastermind (but didn’t), the fee was a whopping $1,500, and that was only the basic package. It was a monthly gathering sort-of-thing and the only virtual tool they have at that point was a private Facebook group.
In the case of UMM, Dean has a totally different approach and it is getting the attention of many newcomers.
1 – Firstly, it’s enormously affordable to join. At only $7 per month, you can pick Dean’s brain and other entrepreneurs to get some insights about what makes them successful. For a full year of interaction, you only have to pay $59 and save 30%.
Instead of getting into a car and attend meetings, you can access everything in the program online and on-demand. Just to give you an idea, this is what the member’s area looks like once logged in.
2 – One of the free bonuses that you will get from the sign up is the popular Millionaire Success Habits book. It contains 240+ pages long of inspirational and motivational sharings from Dean’s own experience to help shape your mindset and groomed your personality for success.
3 – If you are already a business owner and wondering how to improve on your sales, there’s an easy to follow 6 part modules that will teach about creating attractive offers to gain more customers for your products or services. The training also comes with an actionable worksheet so you’d be able to write down your thoughts and revise the topics.
4 – To help you get started on the right path, the program contains a 30-day challenge where you can complete a certain task within 3 minutes, earn points and be on the running to earn some cool prizes. Here’s where the lucky winner will walk away with a Tesla.
5 – If those aren’t enough to get you pumped, Dean also offers small doses of 1-minute motivation to boost your morning routine, every Monday to Friday. And for every 2 weeks, he invites someone successful like Tony Robbins and Arianna Huffington to talk about ways of becoming successful.
But What You Need to be Aware of…
From the moment I signed up, a few things became apparent as to what UMM is all about. What seems like an affordable entry point, actually has its own marketing agenda.
1 – The program is essentially geared towards people who are investors or already have a product in hand to offer, be it physical or digital. Most of the training is meant to scale and improve on a pre-existing business, not starting from scratch. So whether you are a millionaire or not, if you don’t have a plan in mind, the training can be somewhat irrelevant.
2 – In order to be part of this exclusivity for the long term, you’d be promoted to other online programs, most of which are spearheaded by Dean. During the process of entering your credit card information, you’ll encounter three upsells, namely;
- Upsell #1 – Income Doubling Secrets = $37 one time fee.
- Upsell #2 – DG Inner Circle = $397
- Upsell #3 – Productivity Mastery Training = $47
Once inside the program, you can find 3 more upsells in the so-called bonus training.
- Upsell #4 – The Real Estate Profit System = $497 or $180 x 3 payments.
- Upsell #5 – The Info Business Blueprint = $397 or $150 x 3 payments
- Upsell #6 – The Set for Life Blueprint = $497 or $180 x 3
While it’s not necessary to accept all the offers, without them, there’s really nothing much going on in the UMM membership except for their private Facebook group and the additional short motivational videos posted every month.
If you want to join, then you need to pick the right one, instead of signing up blindly. Unfortunately, the entry point to these programs is quite costly and the last I check, there’s no free trial for any of them. Therefore, understand the risks and proceed with caution.

3 – Upsells aside, I don’t find that there’s a good integration of training inside UMM. Most of them are standalone topics and if there’s anything at all, it’s very brief in nature. As for other motivational topics, I think it wouldn’t make any difference watching his podcasts on YouTube, which appears to have more length and engagement.
4 – Inside a mastermind is usually where participants get to ‘talk’ to their coach but keep in mind that there will be no channel for you to do that within UMM. According to their FAQ section, you can only reach Dean through his Instagram profile. So, good luck with that.
So, Is It Worth Paying to Join UMM?
The way I see it, UMM may be a good choice for budding entrepreneurs, real-estate investors and lifestyle coaches. If you belong to these groups of people, you can certainly sign up and have a peek inside the program yourself.
The golden nugget, however, lies inside the higher ticket programs where more intensive training and better communication channels are present. Of course, joining these programs will not make you an overnight success either. Like anything else, self-commitment and patience are still necessary to achieve any type of goals we have in life.
For many of us who aren’t millionaires, the question continues to linger – how can I create more income and achieve a better financial future? Well, Dean is right – you still need to do some kind of investment, but instead of doing physical real-estate which has higher risks, you can go into virtual real-estate.
One such example is establishing an affiliate business, leveraging from market demand, existing skills, and reputable brands to generate long term recurring income. You don’t need to join an exclusive club, but you do need to invest in platforms like websites and hosting. Getting a sound training in affiliate marketing would also help a great deal as it will provide a good perspective on how to approach and manage the business based on current standards.
There are many ways to achieve financial success nowadays, especially with the internet and in my opinion, mastermind groups can come with a lot of hype when wrapped with layers of exclusivity. My guess is, you already know what it takes to become successful so don’t waste your time dwelling on those topics. What you truly need is some structural and practical guidance and you should be very well on the way in creating a fortune for yourself.

The UMM membership looks a bit costly and complicated due to the different levels that he’s promoting. Personally, I feel there are better programs out there that offer the same thing with far less price. If the membership fee can be reviewed, I think it’s worth checking out.
As a blogger with years of experience making some money online, I find that this program is a bit too pushy to get you to join their inner circle. I prefer to know what I am buying and how it’s going to rub on my finances, both expenses and income. Although the program is legit, it does make you rethink the decision to purchase over six levels of upsells.

The drawbacks with this program is that it requires you to have a plan in advance in order to make the most out of the training. Unless you are planning to go for the upsells, there’s not much offer in the UMM membership. Honestly, you don’t need to join mastermind groups in order to create a passive income. There are many affordable and practical training out there that can teach you the same thing at the faction of the cost.

Till here I think it is okay, but the moment you are in, there come the upsells. Do you want to belong to the inner circle? I suppose a lot of people would like that but you have to pay $397 for the privilege. There’s something about UMM that rubs me the wrong way. Even if it is legit, it still is trying to empty your pockets. Personally, I will stay away from this.
Like you mention, I have seen quite a few ads for this lately on various platforms I frequent as I go about my online marketing business. Out of curiosity, I searched and found several reviews that were hell-bent on promoting the platform so I did not get a clear picture of what you were getting into.

The many upsells are the first turn-off for me. Also, the low front end offer is just too good to be true, as the creator could just as well write a book and make more money, as there are upkeep costs for such a group, and a book would be less of a headache. When you went through the many upsells and added the cost for each, I was convinced that this program is not beginner-friendly at all.
Unless there was something I missed, this platform is just a typical cash-sucking funnel that has the interest of the creator in mind more than my own interests. Perhaps I have become jaundiced due to the many products that promise so much and deliver so little.
After reading this insightful review, Underground Millionaire Mastermind is certainly a NO NO to me. With six expensive up-sells, I have my doubts over the legitimacy of this program. As a full-time blogger who has been making money online for the past 8 years, I’ve seen better services that offer good value without getting you to buy extra stuff.
