Hello Cathy,
I am trying to convince my wife to join the affiliate world and I was considering different niches that could work for her. Language learning tutorials seem like an interesting niche that fits right into her profile (she speaks five languages). As you say, the demand is there so, no reason why it shouldn’t work! Thanks for the excellent niche idea.
Cathy says
Wow, 5 languages! That’s a lot to keep her busy. Rocket Languages and iTalki may be good platforms to get started because they cater to other foreign languages too.

I am an affiliate marketer and not only I want to market the platforms featured here, I also want to try them myself as I need to improve my English. I’ve tried some of the platforms listed, I’ve been to Udemy and I can say online courses like this are as good as those courses or lessons one pay for in schools offline.
In fact, I’ve learned so many things in Udemy like PHP programming, and they are worth the money. This time, it’s no longer the technical stuff that I want to develop, but also my English writing and English speaking skills.
By the way, I’d like to ask. Is an affiliate marketer for these English learning online courses not prohibited from buying or purchasing any of these courses?
Cathy says
Hi Gomer. Of course, you can subscribe to the courses (aka trying them out) as an affiliate. In fact, this will give you better insights on how to go about writing the product review later – whether you’re recommending it or not.

I was looking for a platform where I would be able to earn some extra money from teaching English to ESL students but earning affiliate commissions isn’t a bad idea either. Will check out each of the programs and see if I’d be able to get into more than one. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a great resource for anyone who wants to learn English online. I have used Udemy and Skillshare to improve my English and have benefited from the courses. If they work for me, I’m sure they can benefit other people too. It will be interesting to explore the income opportunity from the affiliate marketing perspective.
Cathy says
Yes, you should. As eLearning technology evolves, there will be more opportunity – new platforms and new affiliate programs – to monetize from this education niche.
Paolo says
Hi Cathy. My first language isn’t English and I have found your post very useful. I have used Skillshare for courses related to business and I liked it. Didn’t know they have English courses there though. And I wasn’t aware that Udemy offers such attractive discounts. No excuse for me not to improve in my English.
Stephanie says
I have actually been looking online for similar opportunities. Although I speak the language, English is not my mother tongue so I doubt I will do well as a tutor. I see that some courses here cater for other foreign languages too. Will check out on those instead. Thanks for sharing.
Cathy says
While English is popular, other foreign languages matter too. If you’ve strong command with your native language, I think it’s worth exploring the teaching opportunities within that niche. Use Google Trend to pick up what’s popular and run a few keyword research to see if there’s a market for this. Never hurt to try.
Rhain says
Learning the English language is something that would always be in demand. As you said, the market appears to be an evergreen one. It is definitely a good direction to head with a new blog. I had absolutely no idea that these platforms come with lucrative affiliate opportunities. This is definitely worth looking into.
Cathy says
Where there’s market demand, there will be services offered and eventually, companies will start leveraging from affiliate marketing to expand their businesses. That means for opportunities for language educators to cash in on a side income. This is an exciting time for e-learning.
Jake says
Learning and teaching English online is a very hot niche as it is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Thanks to the wide usage of the Internet, I think the popularity will continue to grow every year so will the demand for the language. Anyone who has the capacity to teach should really venture into these platforms and take advantage of the market opportunity.
