Coming up with content can be tough for those who are new to niche blogging. So it’s not surprising that some people turn to article spinning software, in hope for a better solution. I’ve always been an advocate for creating original things, but in this WordAi review, I got curious and decided to do an experiment to see how a spun content would look like. Are there any benefits to use this type of services at all?
Let’s find out.
What Is WordAi
WordAi – short for Word Artificial Intelligence – is basically an article spinning software that claims to have the technology that understands context and content like a human being. It can, therefore, rewrite unique content to the point that they can pass Copyscape and can’t be detected by Google.
In order to churn out a desired article, there are 4 types of settings to choose from;
- Very readable content
- Readable and unique content
- Tier 1 Content (Article to Be Mostly Readable and Can Be Used Many Times)
- Tier 2 Content (Article will be Mostly Readable and Used Hundreds of Times)
All you need to do is to insert the sentence/paragraph/article into the spinner editor, wait a few seconds and WordAi will produce a new content that has the same meaning as the original one.
It costs $49.95/month and $347/year to use the software full time, but before committing to either one of the plan, you will have the chance to try it out through their 3 day free trial.
Quality of Spun Content Exposed
Well, I was curious to know what a spun content would look like (I am sure you are too) so I took the first paragraph of this article, set it to the most unique settings and spin it.
Here’s the result. Now, read the lines carefully and observe the reaction that is coming from your own thoughts.
If you go back to the top and read the introduction, you’d find that although some of the sentences share the same meaning, the readability of the paragraph as a whole isn’t the best. As the author myself, I found this ‘new version’ to be awkward and feel that it doesn’t deliver the type of message intended for my readers.
I repeated this experiment with a few more content from novels, magazine articles and blogs and each has about 30% to 40% discrepancy of what I understood the original content to be. So I guess you can’t expect artificial intelligence to be 100% accurate, which brings me to the next question…
Is WordAi Worthy of Your Time?
I know some might argue that 30% to 40% can be easily fixed. But that also means you’d be spending additional time changing the order of things to make it read more naturally.
I don’t know about you, but I find that task redundant and would rather use the time researching for relevant keywords or getting comments to my blog, both of which actually add values to a content. However, there are greater consequences that one might not be aware of.
What’s worrying is that people who use spun articles aren’t really thinking about their reader’s best interest. Anything that’s automatic isn’t going to address current issues/concerns as effective as saying it with your own words. As what you could see from my little experiment, the article lacks personal touch and becomes uninteresting to read.
The third part is the motive to ‘trick’ Google to think that your content is unique. Although I can’t speak on Google’s behalf, this is how I see it. Even if the spun content can escape the search engine’s algorithm, it still has to have a certain quality that can be recognized by human AND prompt readers to engage with it.
If a content is missing this type of element, it’s unlikely that visitors will stay for a long period on your site and this would have a negative impact on the ‘average session duration’ under your Google Analytics report. I am guessing that this could very well be a signal for Google indicating that your site has poor content.
Consequently, people who take the time to research and put their thoughts together are the one that will come up with unique articles AND outrank sites that use spun content.
So, is it worth paying paying $347/year only to get pushed down in the rankings and suffer from complete loss of online presence? Obviously the answer is no.
Content Creation Isn’t That Difficult…
It just takes a lot of practice. If you don’t know what topic to write, find inspiration from long tail keywords. If English isn’t your first language, find ways to improve on it. If there’s not enough time to write, learn to organize and work productively around your schedule.
Just so you know, I was never good at writing, English isn’t my mother tongue and I work 6 days a week on a day job while blogging at night. Still, I manage to churn good quality content (at least I think they are) and recently published my 166th blog posts. Kudos to me 🙂
What I am trying to say is that article spinner isn’t a long term solution; it will only dilute your skills and worse, your values. If you truly care about building trust and running an ethical online business, stay away from using this type of hype software. Period.
I hope that this WordAi review has helped you realize that unique content can be created when you put your heart into making it happen. At the end of the day, running a blog is about being informative and interactive; it’s not about mass producing articles OR trying to game any system.
There’s a logical approach to content creation and it all starts by understanding how to do a proper keyword research. To learn more, visit my recommended training platform for some exclusive training on the subject matter.

I think it is better to just come up with your own content. Most of those type of programs that are designed to make things easier, really just make things more difficult. You are right. The more you write, the more practice you get, and the better you’ll become. I have been writing for years myself, and I have never needed any content generation programs.

Hey Cathy,
Believe it or not, people are actually spending money on this WordAi system but spinning content could be the worst thing anyone can do to their websites.
I was interested in spinning content before because I thought it would save me a lot of time. Then I realized that it is not the way to go. Being yourself and putting your thoughts out there – regardless of your writing skills – is a good way to start. I think over time, anyone can get better. Right?
Thanks for the review and also for the example. It really shows that spinning content will only affect you negatively.
Cathy says
You are right Kendrick. Blogging doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to make sense. As long as you can get the message across without being too wordy, that’s good enough.

Hello Cathy,
I’m new on this of online business thing, and English is not my native language. In spite of that, I have written my first pages and posts by myself. I totally agree with what you say here. There is nothing more satisfactory than to produce your own content, even if it is not perfect or excellent in the beginning, but with time and practice, it will surely improve.
I would never rely on “Artificial Intelligence” to write my desired content. I prefer to trust my inner voice and create something valuable with it. There’s always a translation page open on my browser tab so that I can look for help with words or phrases that I’m not sure of. This has helped me a lot.

Hey Cathy,
Your review was indeed helpful and an eye opener too. I can’t believe people would do things like that, but then again, the internet world is a crazy place, right?
I personally believe in creating original content as we get to share a part of who we are through writing, even if the quality is mediocre in the beginning.

Well, I have to admit I was curious at first. But after reading your review, I think I would pass on this. For some, I suppose it would save a lot of time, even if they have to go back and re-write areas that don’t flow with proper grammar, it would be faster than researching and writing on their own.
But I agree with you. This would not present good content overall. Google’s search/crawler algorithms are way smarter than WordAi, and content from this type of software probably won’t rank well anyways.
Luckily I enjoy the writing process 🙂

Good for you TD. I believe that everyone has the capability to write. We are creatures with ideas and it’s just the matter of putting thoughts into sentences and getting the articles out there.

Hey Cathy, thanks for sharing about WordAi. It certainly is interesting, to say the least. I guess at some point all of us would want to automate our business and will look into programs like these for a solution. The example you showed gave me a very clear indication that the algorithm isn’t quite there yet. You seem too lenient in grading it because to me, it is practically unreadable. I believe hiring writers is a better use of that money.
