Make Money With Clickbetter Is a Shady Business – Here’s Why You Should Avoid

To be honest, I didn’t pay much attention to this platform until recently, when I started getting product offers through my email. It appears that you can make money with Clickbetter, but as I dig further, the opportunity looks shady. 

I think it’s important you know what’s going on inside before venturing any further. Here’s the full review. 

What Is Clickbetter? 

Clickbetter is an affiliate marketplace that promotes digital products in popular online niches. It works very much like Clickbank, allowing sellers to list their products for sale and for affiliates to select stuff they want to promote. 

The site is linked to a UK based company and has been operating since 2012. There’s a fair amount of knowledge base and links to support but apart from that, there’s no clue who owns it nor are there any social profiles to follow. 

A system is available for sellers to upload their offers for free and for a $500 fee, one can leverage from their email list to broadcast to the members over the course of 3 weeks. On the affiliate’s end, specific links are automatically generated based on usernames and can be obtained easily by just clicking the product’s promotion button. 

What Are The Offers? 

There are three things that make Clickbetter an attractive platform to join. First, it says that by signing up, you get free access to over 100 offers in some 9 high converting niches. That sounds like a pretty vast selection to choose from.  

Secondly, some of these offers are said to pay commissions as high as 80%. This shouldn’t come as surprising because digital products are known to have low maintenance costs. Hence, it’s possible for creators to markup retail prices in order to split generous profits among affiliates. Though I would say that 20% to 50% is the more common range here. 

For sellers, the platform offers a no startup fee and low seller’s fee. That means, creators get to keep more of the sales profit they make and pass that to the affiliates if they are willing to do so. 

Clearly, these offers look nice and dandy on the outside but don’t get smitten just yet because I am about to expose some realities that may disappoint you. 

The Shady Side of Things 

#1 – Many ‘Empty’ Niches 

I am not buying it when they say there are 100+ offers so I went to check every product category and after doing the math, the number came up to be only about +/- 70. The small discrepancy isn’t the big deal here but what’s shocking is that most categories have empty listings. 

Niches I assumed to be popular like exercise, fitness and photography are void of any product offers. The only section that looks busy is the affiliate marketing category.  

This discovery leads me to believe that the platform isn’t a popular choice of retailer for non-internet marketing products. Rather, it tends to attract make-money-online programs that are usually overpriced and under-delivered. 

In that sense, Clickbetter sort of resembles networks like JVZoo and Warrior Plus. 

#2 – Dubious Products

Of course, it’s not wrong to share money-making opportunities, but let’s face it, the internet is oversaturated with mediocre products and worse, some of them continue to make people lose money on stuff that doesn’t work. 

The latter is exactly what you will find inside Clickbetter and most of them are scams. I say this with 100% confidence because I’ve personally researched the ins and outs of these products and they are up to no good.

Above is the list of so-called top trending products and if you do a quick search online, you will find a ton of negative reviews linked to these names. Bogus income claims, fake testimonials and short cut systems are among the traits associated with these types of programs.  

The fact that vendors are allowed to glaringly list their offers on the marketplace, shows the lack of scrutiny by the team to make Clickbetter a trustworthy platform for consumers. As such, I am guessing that finding a legitimate offer here can be quite a challenge. 

#3 – No Training Resources

Although there are links to the knowledge base area, there’s absolutely no training whatsoever to help you choose an affiliate program or decide on the type of digital products to sell. At least over at Clickbank, they have the Clickbank University program to help out beginners. 

Chances are, if you come into the platform and use the links to promote blindly, you haven’t got a good grasp on how to run an affiliate business yet. Ask yourself the following questions; 

• Have you set up a WordPress blog or website? 
• Do you know what are the pain points of your niche? 
• Can you find out what keywords are best to target for your product offers? 

If you can answer them confidently, you are good. But if not, you need some brushing up to do because affiliate marketing is all about creating a long-lasting relationship between the customer and the brand. It requires value and trust to benefit both parties.

#4 – Odd Offer During Sign Up 

During my previous experience signing up with other affiliate networks, the process has always been straightforward. What I find odd about Clickbetter is that right after creating an account, I was immediately offered to try out Clickfunnel for the 14 days free trial. 

This program isn’t part of the platform and the link to the free trial is actually an affiliate link. It seems like whoever the creator is, he’s trying to leverage from your membership to make some extra commissions. It’s not entirely wrong but appears cunning for me though. 

My Verdict of Clickbetter

Navigating the platform feels like going through a ghost town. There are some decent layouts but not very many happenings. It’s too simple a site for an affiliate network as compared to other more legitimate ones. 

Ultimately, it’s the product offers that leave the most negative impression for me. How can scams be allowed to operate like a normal business is beyond me. It almost feels like the entire platform is built for that deceitful purpose and if the suspicion is true, then using Clickbetter to make money should be avoided altogether. 

Other Better Alternatives 

Look, affiliate marketing especially promoting digital products is a brilliant plan and there are genuine platforms out there that can do a better job.
