So it’s interesting to know that this company has been around since the ’70s, expanding from Memphis, Tennessee to more than 20 countries around the globe. The market for health products is big, but how far can you go with this brand?

The Challenges of Becoming a Juice Plus Distributor
1) Controversial Product Quality
Despite the ‘glossy’ endorsement stamped by various parties, these concentrated forms of fruit/vegetable powder have been widely marketed as a ‘superfood’ that can reduce cholesterol, cure diabetes and help with weight loss.
Those who are advocating this concept are mostly distributors themselves, doing so through different online channels. To verify the truth, a few independent research has been carried out only to reveal that these products actually contain too little ingredients to offer any significant health benefits.
Worse, the nutrient amount differs from what is listed on the product label itself and declared to only contain Vitamin A, C, E, and Folate, plus other minor amounts of phytochemicals that will not treat or prevent any diseases. In other words, it’s just a multivitamin capsule and a highly-priced one too.
2) Expensive Supplements
Now that we know what is in it, the next question to ask is, will people pay $44.50 per month to consume these multivitamins when there are affordable alternatives elsewhere? Plus, when ordering the Juice Plus capsules, one is steered towards a monthly payment so that the product can be shipped to you automatically for the next 4 months.
It is clearly stated in the checkout page and the distributors would argue that this is the best way to benefit from the supplement if you consumed it long term. I’ve never encountered such tactics with any nutrition company, but I am guessing that the idea behind is to help distributors earn more profits to meet their goals.
If you check on Amazon, there are other choices that people can buy at a lower price range without having to commit to any plans. From the consumer’s point of view, the latter seems more budget-friendly and flexible.
My point is, pricey supplements, especially one that comes with plans, have their limitations. It will only make your targeted customer much smaller and more difficult to convert.
3) Poor Online Presence
Going online is vital for any business to grow their brands nowadays so I am glad to see that Juice Plus provides personal websites for distributors to market the company online. This allows people to share product information through the social network, emails and also offer the convenience of online shopping.
But when I searched through Google, I was only able to find 2 to 3 sites like this and they are disappointingly defunct. It gives me the impression that they don’t know much about online marketing or that the company doesn’t really provide sound training in this area.
Either way, whenever I search for Juice Plus review, the only site that is worthy of reading is the official homepage. The poor online presence can negatively impact your effort in growing this business.
- People who are interested in buying supplements will not be aware of Juice Plus.
- You’ll have difficulty finding a new audience/market when you ran out of family/friends to sell to.
- People who are keen to start an independent business will not even know that this company exists.
Needless to say, when you don’t know how to market online, you’ll fall back to the traditional way of networking – selling door-to-door, hosting parties, distributing catalogs – which can consume a lot of your time and yield very little reward.
So, Is Juice Plus Worth The Investment
Health supplements are a multi-billion dollar industry and nothing is going to stop that from growing as we become a society that is conscious about what we consume on a daily basis. But the niche is also highly competitive with new companies coming in and out of the picture.
Choosing a trustworthy brand to partner with is important because ultimately, you want people to take things that benefit their bodies (and not so much about making money out of them). Choosing the right marketing channel is even more important to ensure that your effort is worthwhile and that you stay in touch with current health trends.
If you asked me, the Juice Plus business opportunity falls short in these two areas. Hence, I wouldn’t recommend this program for those who are even thinking of trying.
